I remember the first time I ever tasted Oolong tea, it was like no tea I had ever experienced. The name oolong comes from the Chinese name meaning “black dragon tea”. To describe its complex, aromatic taste is almost beyond words – almost –  and my dears this is certainly one tea that is far better tasted and experienced than read.

Orchid Oolong’s huge black rolled leaves have a gorgeous exotic, woody aroma that is still evident when sipping this delicate and complex brew. Lahloo’s advice is optimum flavour is achieved after 2 minutes steeping time at precisely 85 C. And they are spot on – the tea is delightfully light, with a gorgeous floral undertone.
