The Lahloo Tea has arrived with a quite wonderful postcard.
I adore the amazing quote from Judith Maria Vaughan. Lahloo have included brewing instructions as I requested for each tea sent. We all know that it requires time and care to brew a cup of tea properly, and I wanted to ensure that I would sample Lahloo’s tea at its optimum best.
Kate Gover is this company’s enthusiastic founder.
Inspiration for its unusual name came via her great great grandfather who sailed aboard a 19th century tea clipper ship that raced back from China with tea. The ship was called, yes you have guessed it, Lahloo. It is almost as if Kate has been born to leaf tea with her focus on quality, taste and provenance.
Tea with Mary Kate’s Review of Lahloo’s Grandpa’s Tea
Lahloo’s Grandpa’s tea is robust, old fashioned and full bodied. An honest proper cup of tea, it feels comforting and hearty. Brewing for 3 minutes at 95OC (just off boiling) is perfect timing for this strong and fragrant blend.
Tea with Mary Kate is very grateful to Lahloo Tea for their kindness and generosity in sending samples of their boutique loose leaf tea to taste. I quite agree with Kate Gover – one sip and you can’t possibly go back to dusty tea bags!
