Whilst Spring has definitely sprung, there’s still a bit of a chill in the air, just enough to cool the temperature of that all important second cuppa!
As ever, Tea with Mary Kate has found the perfect solution to this dilemma – Melin Tregwynt’s beautiful and practical tea cosy’s. This innovative Welsh weaving mill, based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales and in the same family since 1912, uses their gorgeous fabrics to produce their new and interesting products.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that all tea pots are in need of tea cosy’s to keep those all important second cuppas warm.
There’s nothing quite as disappointing as a luke warm second cup – All too often tea cosy’s look great but are far from totally practical, as you’ll have discovered when you’re sitting in the garden, or even in the house, sipping another cup of tea, and it’s gone quite cold. Melin Tregwynt Tea cosy’s are thermally lined, as well as covered in their beautiful Welsh woven wool fabrics and so the tea is kept totally toasty. And what more could you ask for but to have a coordinated tea cosy cover with their amazing blankets and cushions – I could not resist!
I can highly recommend a visit to their beautiful mill, but also for the lovely walk to the nearby beach.
If you do explore the tree lined path to the beach, you’re in a for a treat, as on the way there is a wonderful surprise – an avenue of all manner of exotic creatures, created by Alan from recycled materials, just for the sheer joy of it. My favourite is the dragon with his recycled dustbin wings flapping gloriously in the breeze. Just like Melin Tregwynt’s tea cosy, I have no doubt his fiery blast would keep the tea warm!
